As an Inspector, was primarily engaged in the following job functions;
- Examining airmen for initial certification and continuing competence;
- Evaluating airmen training programs, equipment and facilities; and
- Evaluating the operational aspect of programs of air carriers and similar commercial and aviation
operations for adequacy of facilities, equipment, procedures and overall management to ensure safe operation of the aircraft.
Performed a variety of other inspections, investigations, and advisory duties; primary specialization in knowledge and skill in the operation of aircraft.
Additionally, worked with FAA stakeholders on regulatory compliance in Air Carrier and Air Operator types of operations to include 14 CFR Part 125, 135 and 141 which included:
- Reviewing and composing documents for all aspects of commercial operations
- Operations Specification drafting and review for compliance
- Assisting with General Aviation requirements to include Waivers, Letters of Authorization and other regulatory requirements of 14 CFR Part 61 and 91.
Appointed by the FAA to serve as a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) conducting various pilot certification activities.
32 years of aviation experience, served as an Assistant Chief Pilot, qualified as a Chief Pilot in accordance with 14 CFR Part 119, and as a line pilot for several 135 operators. Current and qualified in the Cessna Citation CJ2. Previous experience in the Beech 1900, King Air Series, Cessna CE-510 Mustang, Embraer EMB-505 and LearJet. Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single and Multiengine Land, and Instrument Airplane providing instruction at all certificate levels.
